It's time for Fall Soccer!!! AND Third Grade!!!

It's fall and it's time for SOCCER!! Matthew is back again with 4 of his team mates on the Boys U-10 traveling Soccer team and they started the season out strong with the first game ending in a tie and the double header this past Saturday in which they won one and tied one!! I love soccer season and it's so fun to watch these boys work so hard and have so much fun!! We'll upload pictures soon!!

It was also the start of THIRD grade!!! I can not believe our baby's a third grader!!! WOW has that gone so fast!! He has matured so much this year and he's working very hard in third grade!! We are so very proud of him. We stay busy with our soccer schedule, pioneer club at church, practice and all other forms of chaos but we wouldn't have it any other way!! We are so, so blessed!

Update without any pics!!

OK once again I've been threatened of being thrown out of the "blogging world" so just a little update!!
Summer has flown by, Aunt Susie visited July 9-July 30 & we had an absolute wonderful time. We did girly sister stuff, shopped, went out to eat, shopped, Aunt Susie went on a filed trip with Matthew (pictures to share soon), Susie and I went to the Women of Faith conference in DC and had a wonderful time. Saw Beth Moore, Sandi Patti, Anita Renfroe and yes!! we have pictures!!! She got to visit lots of friends in the area~we had a great time & we miss her already!

Mike, Matthew & I have been to Water Country, a Tides game, swimming with his buddy Tristan a lot, Matthew's been to 2 VBS programs this summer and soccer camp and now Fall soccer is back into full swing and Matthew is on U-10 travel team again this fall!! Matthew's had 5 stitches this summer, falling from his bike, I think we have an evel knievel on our hands (he crashed again last night but luckily Dr. Mom could handle this one!!)

Teachers return to FBCS this week so it's been rather hectic but it's always exciting when the teachers return and another school year is on the way. On top of all that I had to go & get the "stomach bug" this weekend that seems to be going around full force!!!

I also started my last "full" semester of school with 3 classes this fall and then one in the Spring & hopefully that will meet all my requirements to graduate in the Spring with a Bachelors in Business~Finance..........finally!!

Well pictures to follow soon, just haven't had the chance to upload and post but the Goodwins have enjoyed a wonderful summer and are very blessed!!!

Aunt Susie arrives!!!

Monday July 9th Matthew and I went to the airport in Newport News/Williamsburg to pick up Aunt Susie, my big sister!! We unfortunately have not seen each other in a couple of years and we've just been making up for lost time and she and Matthew have been having a blast!!!

This past weekend (July 12-14) Susan and I traveled to the Women of Faith conference in Washington DC with a group from First Baptist and Southside Baptist here in Suffolk!! We had an absolute blast and we were so very blessed by the speakers, events and the new friends we made on the trip!!! Beth Moore was so phenomenal & it was even more exciting to hear her in person!! Anita Renfroe is a hoot, we've never laughed sooo much!! If you have a chance to attend a conference around the country~GO and if at all possible get a sky-box...that's the only way to travel!!! (special thanks to Dee from Southside for getting us such awesome accomodations!!!!)

Will upload pictures soon!!!

more Matthew and Susie adventures to come!!

Sorry for not Posting more sooner!!!

I've been advised that I may get "kicked out of the blogging world" if I don't start updating my posts more often. (LOL-ha ha Mrs. Farcin!!) But as you can tell it's been a busy time with the end of the soccer season, end of the school year, change of college classes for Mom, Dad traveling quite a bit and Mom preparing to go and returning from Austria.....whew even now I'm tired just summarizing it all!!!

It's been a wonderful end of the school year, Matthew will be a third grader in the fall!! :( it's going way to fast for mommy!!! He received a STAR award at the end of the school year for obtaining all O's & G's for the entire year!! We are so proud of you Matthew!!! Keep up the good work, those good grades will pay off for you in the future!! I will post pictures from the elementary awards day soon!!!

Mike has been busy with work and the yard and work and work....but he held the fort down with Grandma while I went to Austria. (although upon return I found Grandma sick and Daddy sick with strep throat...I leave for a week and they fall apart....) It was good to know I was missed!!!

School has kept me busy. My accounting class ended the week I was in Austria (yes I pulled out the "A" yippee) and Business Law began, so I came back a little behind in my classes. Then of course there is always the task of unburying your desk at work....that's always fun!

We returned on Thurs the 21 and for many of us we'd been up for about40+ hours. Our last concert in Austria was Wed evening & we boarded a bus for Munich at 2:00 am Thurs, so not much point in sleeping! We had a "Homecoming Concert" on Sunday June 24 and viewing the pictures on the screen made many of us "homesick" for the Austrian country side!

I truly appreciate every one's prayers and support. We had so many people say, "we followed your schedule daily and prayed for you everyday" and we could feel those prayers!! Thank you, continue to pray that the seeds we planted will grow and be blessed!!

The WRPC Choir returned from Austria on June 21 after 8 day visit. I was extremely blessed to have a chance to experience this beautiful country with a group of even more beautiful people. It was an awesome experience and I hope to post my pictures and stories from our travels!
